Blonde Brownies


2/3 c butter, softened
2 c brown sugar
2 T water
2 eggs
2 t vanilla
2 c flour
1/4 t salt
1 t baking powder
1 c chocolate chips

Cream butter, brown sugar and water until well creamed. Add eggs and vanilla and stir until blended. Add to that then the flour, salt and baking powder until blended. Spread evenly in the bottom of a 9x13 greased pan. Top with the chocolate chips. Bake at 325 for 25 minutes.

  1. We made these last week when a friend came to visit. Mark got the recipe from his Gma. He likes it because it doesn't require as much time as making individual choc chip cookies. He saved a few choc chips to sprinkle on the top.
