Rice & Hamburger Gravy

1 lb ground beef
1/2 c flour
1 t salt
pepper, to taste
2 T Worcestershire Sauce
2-3 c milk
3 c rice
3 c chicken broth

Prepare rice in a rice cooker or on stove top.  Brown hamburger and drain.  To the same pan, add flour, salt and Worcestershire Sauce and coat all the meat.  It will be really pasty and thick.  Still over medium heat add the first 2 cups of milk and continuously stir.  It will start to thicken the longer it's on the burner.  If it's too thick, add more milk about 1/2 c at a time.  It needs to be between thick and thin! :)  Gravy is a hard one to document when telling someone else how to make it! :)  I don't actually have a "recipe" for this, I just "throw things in! :)"  Add pepper to taste!

Serve the gravy over rice!

I always requested this for my birthday dinner when I was a kid. ;)

I tried this recipe and it was delicious! Although I was not sure when to put the chicken broth in, as it is not mentioned in the directions, I just threw it in with the milk and it turned out fine. Thank you for sharing!

Hello. Sorry about the chicken broth confusion. The chicken broth is used for the rice. Instead of using water, I use chicken broth. It gives the rice a better flavor. Hope his helps. I'll change directions in the recipe.
